Thanks to all you beautiful people that came and made this night a truly special party! Fantastic! Thanks to the staff and our new door girl Gracie. The next night is on the 30th September and we will be joined by one of our favourite guest-DJs Kajsa of X-ing School. So Tough! So Cute in Stoke Newington on Friday 26th August

Yes yes yes! The day we've been longing for all summer is almost here! On Friday we return to Stoke Newington in swingin' London for a night of dancing, smiling and making out. Please tell your friends and come join us on the dancefloor! We even made a Pre-party Spotify playlist for you to get in the mood with!

We are So Tough! So Cute. We play Northern Soul, limp wristed jangly Indie Pop and bedroom DIY, Tamla Motown, Ska, Pop Punk, Ye-Ye,  '60s Girl Groups and the best of Swedish Indie. We take our dance lessons from John Peel, Calvin Johnson, Ronnie Spector, Kathleen Hanna and Jonathan Richman. We sort our Sarah singles by the colour of the sleeves and keep our Orange Juice records between Chic and Velvet Undergound.

Guest Mixtape 13: Breakout A-Town by Jaspin of Hissyfit

A while back, straight outta Auckland, New Zealand, came Hissyfit and won our hearts over with the track Scrunchie that melted together all the best parts from Riot Grrrl and sixties girl-groups and gave you a sugar rush that kept you doing laps in your living room.

We asked Jaspin to put together a mixtape for us and ooh baby... this mix will make you want to drink beer and dance yourself silly any day of the week. Like now. Mmm beer.

Hissyfit have a split with Neonates called Pillow Talk which should be out any minute on Effeminate. There's a split tape with Bacteria Ridden Sister and the Playdate EP - which we can't wait to pick up at the post office on Friday in London. We boldly went where no indie club has gone before last night when we took over one of the dance floors at fine club Tricks/Tricks/Tricks at Babel Malmö. Two boxes of punk seven inches, our friend Popscene-Johan first class selection of tunes and lots of So Tough! So Cute! regulars made the night sweaty and smiling. Thanks everybody for turning out despite the rain! We had tons of fun and even live facebooked most of the set during the night, getting live feedback from the dance floor and people in other countries. So much fun! Highlights was playing Fear Of Men - Pink Frost, which is just so good, La La Vasquez - Other Side from their new 7" split with Neonates, Jacuzzi Boys - Cool Vapors, Hungry Gayze - Pins & Needles, Veronica Falls - Come On Over and the amazing studio demo punk version of the Cure - I'm Cold.

Our next night is the season premiere of So Tough! So Cute! in Stoke Newington London on August 26th. We've been looking forward immensely for this all summer and hope to see all you UK friends there.
