Season Premiere Spotify Mix - So Tough! So Cute in Stoke Newington

It's a rainy bloody monday, which should mean staying inside with tea and toast and being all emo about it. But no, today is a good day. We've had an excellent cup of coffee at our favourite hang out Solde Kaffebar, bought a new pair of Levi's (Five-oh-fours if you wanna know. Why? Well, they make our arse look sooo good) and found three great records: Strawberry Switchblade - s/t LP, Trash Kit - Teenagers (really amazing 7") and the Doing It For The Kids compilation on Creation. But more importantly we've book flights to London because on August 26th we're finally back in Stoke Newington! Yay!

We're so happy about this that we put together another Spotify mix to celebrate this. 75 tracks. One for each day gone since the last club night in London (This is a lie. Or maybe not. To lazy to check)'

We also have 3 Spotify invites to give away to the first three to email us at club.sotoughsocute@gmail.com

So please come drink, dance and make out to a soundtrack of heart-wrenching Northern Soul, limp wristed jangly Indie Pop and bedroom DIY, Tamla Motown, Ska, late '77s pop punk love, '60s Girl Groups and the best of Swedish Indie. We take our dance lessons from John Peel, Calvin Johnson, Ronnie Spector, Kathleen Hanna and Jonathan Richman.

Mixtape: Another Pint, Another Cigarette

Here we go. Another mixtape with faboulous tracks, old and new and in some cases not even released yet. We're particularly keen on the Coathangers and Dear Marje and the fucking amazing Chills cover by Fear of Men. It's out later this year on a Volar. Let's hope it's Chills tribute. Our favourite grumpy Arab Straper is back with a great album and those Lo-Fi jerkheads and Acid Baby Jesus songs are amazing. Both out on Slovenly. And then some punk and noisy clatter like Petty Crime, a Wire demo and Disturbed Furniture which we discovered recently via the Gunilla Mixtapes. Also one of our favourite and most treasured singles: Sara Goes Pop. They were a superb side project to the Homosexuals. Really good. Hope you enjoy it at go see the bands and do buy the 7" and cassettes.

Photos from the Broder Daniel special

Wow. That was really something. A million thanks to everybody who came dressed up and in a mood for a party and made the Broder Daniel special one of the most fun nights since the inception of the club. Bloody hell. Never heard that much singing along before to be honest.

The pandas were broken out the zoo, the first one after just half an hour, but we hope they've found a new and happy home. Pics of them in their new environment would be really appreciated so that we know that they're fine. Photos are up on Facebook so go tag yourselves. Thanks again for coming down!

No pandas left :(
